Art Shows, Hotels & a Top 10 Artist

Writer's picture: Nadia CulphNadia Culph

Is it too late to say Happy New Year!? March is already upon us and the art world is in full swing. I've been busy behind the scenes here at The Random Image - creating, planning and stepping out of the usual realms.

A4 Art Australia

In it's 10th year, the Contemporary Art Society of Victoria is holding it's annual A4 Art Australia exhibition showcasing artworks by painters, sketchers, sculptors and photographers (including yours truly) from around the country.

Held on Herring Island as part of the Summer Arts Festival, you're invited to the opening on the March 4th from 12 'til 2pm. Don't worry if you can't make it, the exhibition is on until April 10th with artworks available to purchase in-person and online up to June 30th.

Show & Tell

The Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show is blooming again from March 29th to April 2nd where, along with the stunning floral displays and competitions, artworks from Victoria's various art societies and collectives will be on display.

MAVA - Melbourne & Victorian Artists Inc., a local art collective of which I'm a proud member, will be exhibiting artworks from emerging and professional artists.

Be sure to head up to the Gallery Precinct and show your support, view the beautiful art from talented creatives and perhaps even purchase a few ;)

New Art

Summer in Australia provides a staggering array of colours, textures and incredible beauty for me to photograph. I'm fortunate to have so much variety at my disposal to fulfil every creative whim. Be sure to take a visual stroll through the shop and show your support by sharing, giving a thumbs up or following along on socials.

Supporting Small Business

Over 115 nature lovers are now keeping track of 2023 with their Australian Flora Calendars. A big thank you to everyone who chose to support small business and purchase from a local artist.

Did you know, when buying from a gallery or online art market, the artist will often only receive as little as half the purchase price? When you buy directly from an artist, the majority of the profit goes to the creator of that work. Please continue to shop local and support small business. You'll be providing more opportunities, making real connections, receive brilliant customer service, stellar craftsmanship and you'll find something truly unique.
